SHL offer the complete building      service package, from design to installation and maintenance.

Air Conditioning

Air Conditioning is a form of air treatment whereby

temperature, humidity, ventilation and air cleanliness

are controlled within the limits determined by the

requirements of the conditioned space.

SHL have designed and installed air conditioning

units in schools, commercial offices, libraries,

county and magistrate courts.

Our installations range from multiple VRV/VRF

systems with heat recovery to small heating, cooling

and ventilation systems. Air Conditioning units

installed have been wall mounted, floor, ceiling,

through window units, cassettes and include the

following manufacturers.

FUJITSU, DAIKIN, MITSUBISHI, HAIER, HITACHI

The repair and maintenance of chiller cabinets, commercial refrigeration units including cold rooms, ice-makers and cellar cooling are the major aspects of our refrigeration work.

For your reassurance, we provide a first class after sales service which includes prompt call outs, system repairs and preventive maintenance contracts.

Water Treatment Chemical Cleaning

Chemical cleaning new systems and renovation chemical cleans of old systems. In the case of new systems, current design criteria requires a very demanding level of water quality in order to achieve design performance throughout the building. Old buildings often have neglected hearing of cooling systems and chemical cleans are carried out to restore system performance with associated benefits of energy savings.

In both these cases we guarantee results using a combination of the most modern despersant chemicals, and fully trained site engineers with a thorough understanding of system design engineering.

Heat Pumps

Air source heat pumps absorb heat from the outside air. This heat can then be used to warm water for radiators or underfloor heating systems, or to heat your swimming pool.
An air source heat pump extracts heat from the outside air in the same way that a fridge extracts heat from its inside. It can extract heat from the air even when the outside temperature is as low as minus 15° C.
An air-to-water system uses the heat to warm water. Heat pumps heat water to a lower temperature than a standard boiler system would, so they are more suitable for underfloor heating systems than radiator systems.

The efficiency of air source heat pump systems is measured by a coefficient of performance (CoP) - the amount of heat they produce compared to the amount of electricity needed to run them. A typical CoP for an air source heat pump is around 2.5

Environmental Maintenance

The environmental health of a building is reflected directly in the health of the occupants of the building. SHL offer comprehensive service contracts for both routine monitoring and correcting the quality of waste systems in all types of buildings, including heating and chilled systems, humidifiers and portable water.

Within the scope of these contracts we use highly trained personnel to carry out site visits, advise on irregular usage and provide a full, confidential reporting service.

Chloration

We carry out chlorination in full cooperation with the client, offering the flexibility required when limited access is available, work is carried out to comply with either clients specification or the relevant British Standard and if requested we submit pot-sterilisation samples to an independent laboratory for bacteriological analysis and certification.

Tank Refurbishment

In order to comply with current regulations such as Bylaw 30 or HS(G) 70 it is often necessary to carry extensive refurbishment of existing water tanks

Energy Surveys

SHL can come to your home or place of work to carry out an Energy Survey.  An Energy Survey will provide you with the information you need to ensure your building is as energy/cost efficient as you need it to be and make recommendations on how you can save money by making adjustments to your current systems.
